2017 NBA Draft: Markelle Fultz No. 1, Lonzo Ball No. 2 and a Jimmy Butler Trade

It was a tense draft day, with few real moves in the afternoon but a storm cloud over the NBA: Paul George, Kristaps Porzingis ... And a Jimmy Butler who was finally traded to the Timberwolves when he had already started an election in which there were no surprises in the top two: Markelle Fultz took a No. 1 lead and will play in the Philadelphia 76ers after the Pennsylvania franchise took the top spot thanks to a transfer with the Celtics, who went down to 3. The base Washington was the Sixers' trump card and will form an extraordinarily promising young core with Ben Simmons (No. 1 in 2016) and Joel Embiid (3 in 2014).

With #1 guaranteed for Fultz, the first doubts were in the #2 of Los Angeles Lakers. But there was no drama: UCLA's Californian base Lonzo Ball took a pick for the favorite since the lottery. He had been hesitant for constant polemics of his father, LaVar Ball, among other reasons, but finally he imposed the talent like playmaker and the tremendous projection of a player who will load with the outside game of a Lakers that have transferred to D'Angelo Russell And they want to build on Ball and Brandon Ingram ... just waiting to see if they can jump on Paul George and LeBron James. The goal, to make a leap of quality for the 2018-19 season.
